Yes, I identify myself as a Christian.
My life was never the same again since I encountered the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I would never get to know Him if not for all the church workers who lent their time and effort to teach me what it means to live life as God intended.
But our walk with God doesn’t end after receiving Him as our Lord and Savior. It should continue with our desire to be connected to Christ daily,
Jesus Is the Vine—Followers Are Branches
1 “ I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have given you [the teachings which I have discussed with you].
4 Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me.
5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken off] branch, and withers and dies; and they gather such branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.
8 My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples.
9 I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you].
10 If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.
11 I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.

…to seek a new kind of lifestyle that pleases the Lord,
A New and Living Way
19 Therefore, believers, since we have confidence and full freedom to enter the Holy Place [the place where God dwells] by [means of] the blood of Jesus,
20 by this new and living way which He initiated and opened for us through the veil [as in the Holy of Holies], that is, through His flesh,
21 and since we have a great and wonderful Priest [Who rules] over the house of God,
22 let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];
Hebrews 10:19-23 AMP
…to regularly meet with our brothers and sisters in Christ,
24 and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds,
25 not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25 AMP
…and to read and meditate on God’s Word.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
Joshua 1:8 AMP
So why do I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation again and again?
Because the Bible is supposed to be read again and again for the rest of our lives. And the more we do, the more we see that the whole Bible tells us a unified story that leads to Jesus.
Reading God’s Word is supposed to be a natural act for us to do, like breathing. Because in God’s Word, there is life.
If you still haven’t started your Bible reading habit, here’s how you can start reading the Bible in one year.
