It’s been a year since I said goodbye to the office. But, perhaps, you did too.
Not all of us had this flexibility to work from home, but to some of us who do (and enjoyed this new setup), we hope to have it linger and, eventually, stay for good.

And for many employers and employees, the new arrangement worked surprisingly well. People were just as productive as they were before but they got to skip their lengthy commutes and spend more time with their families. As it turned out, much of what people did in an office could be accomplished pretty easily with wifi, a laptop, and Zoom.
Yes, nothing beats in-person collaboration, and maybe, that would be the role of an office in the future: a space for collaboration where people don’t have to be around the clock anymore.
