When you don’t wake up before the sun rises, you’re already late.
I’ve heard a businessman tell the audience just that during a business seminar. And as an ordinary person who wakes up only in time not to be late for work every day, I can sense that something is missing with my morning routine.
But I never really paid attention or did any action to what I felt. I continued to wake up late and always get into the rush of things.
Have you been in this same situation too? Always catching up while the time seems to hurry away and off your grasp?
A year after I heard that businessman’s remark about waking up before sunrise, I decided to give it a try. And like they always say, if you want to wake up early, sleep early. So I did just that.
While I am still getting the hang of things, his statement truly hit home. Here’s what I learned about waking before the sun rises:
- You won’t feel rushed anymore (even if you need to).
- You will still have time to think about what you want your day would be like.
- You can just go out and admire the beauty of the sun rising and slowly creeping in, reminding you that ‘today is another day to start anew and start right.‘
- You end up finishing quality work. (Finishing a lot of quality work is a bonus).
