Our fear of asking questions

Do you have any questions?

What will be your response when the facilitator finally opens the floor for questions?

For most of us, we hope that someone braves it out while we hide in the crowd. But what if you’re being asked directly? What if there’s no crowd to hide in anymore?

Why is it so difficult to ask a question when prompted?

Because we are afraid to be judged for being slow to process what was presented. We are afraid to show the impression of being incapable of understanding the concept as fast as everybody else.

Often times, people who do not ask questions are as confused as those who do ask questions. But only one of them ends up learning.
