The world tells you that giving away means you are having less of something.
So people who believe this tend to keep to themselves the things they are afraid to lose. But then, they end up losing all the things they hold on to.
There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.
Proverbs 11:24 AMP
If you are one of those people, then try to open yourself and give to those in need. You will be surprised that the more you give, the more you receive. As the Lord Jesus Christ put it:
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”
Luke 6:38 AMP
Why? Because generosity is like a seed. When you plant generosity, you reap a harvest.
