It took Novo six months after adoption to tolerate me.

Now, he just flicks his tail. That’s his way of saying: I see you, and I’m choosing to be patient. Sure, his temper eventually goes off if I don’t stop when I should. There’s a point of no return. I always know where it is, and I always cross it anyway. He gets cuter when he’s annoyed, especially with those bunny kicks.

I just can’t contain my gigil when it starts.

Maybe Novo already knows this about me. Maybe that’s why he still lets me.
