Finally remembered what it is like to be lost in a book.

The experience felt more personal than if you had spent the same time watching a movie, which makes you a mere observer. You might feel things, but the illusion fades quicker than with a book.

So what happens when you read a book? You are not just an observer. You become one with the elements of the story, an unseen but immutable character in every scene. You know what the secrets are but you can’t tell anybody. And so you wait for the story to unfold.

You question, you doubt, you learn. Then you wait and see.
