What it means to be a dreamer

in

While typing these words on magical keys atop my tiny desk, looking out the window towards the blue skies with the afternoon breeze moving freely in and out of the room, I remember what it’s like to dream about the things you want to be, about places you want to go, and things you want to achieve.

Everything seems far away and distant when you’re a child, and dreaming about everything makes them feel closer to you.

I’m meant for something more,” I keep telling myself.

Even in my youth, I have considered the things I would want to happen to my life and prayed about them, asking the Lord that if my plans abide His ways, may He establish my steps.

Now, I’m turning 30. And as I look back to the years I have spent dreaming, I have already come far. As I learned to trust the Lord to make my paths straight, I testify that He has opened doors of opportunities for me, more than I could ever ask or think. I have received favors that seemed impossible but happened, God’s unseen hand moving.

At the same time, I put my confidence in the Lord that He is not yet done. There’s still more that I can be! And so, I keep dreaming still.

Since then, I have carefully considered everything I dream to be and trust the Lord that I will become the woman He intended for me.
