New tasks and headaches

1–2 minutes

Ah, yes. It almost always feels physically painful when trying to learn something new.

And the discomfort is so real that you want to reject new learnings and instead stay with what you already know, which feels comfortable.

But the thing about rejecting new learning is that you remain where you are, even stuck in a rut and so comfortable that you can do your work, eyes closed. Then boredom strikes.

Doesn’t the novelty of doing new things, even painful at first, feel so rewarding once you get better at it?
