Everyday Stories, Lived

Green office space

in

office common area filled with greeneries with brown wooden table and blue chairs

After spending hours in front of our computer screens at work, it’s nice to see greeneries spread across what used to be an empty space in the building, making it a green office space. And it lifted my mood just after seeing it with so many plants when it used to be bleak and lifeless.

A study that looked into how interior plants influence employee work performance and productivity presented how indoor plants improve “attitudes, behaviors, and physiological responses,” as well as reduce stress. And that “office workers are reported to be less tired when they have access to plants or window views, and prefer work environments with living plants and window views.”

It could explain why after seeing the plants in our office building, I felt a sense of joy wash over me.
