Road to Zerophoria: Journal entry from the future #2

1–2 minutes

I am spending 10 days in the future, and this is what my daily life like in the year 2033, where zero-waste laws are strictly enforced, and no one comes to pick up the trash anymore.

You can read more about this imagined future scenario here.

Today, I saw an ad on a local refiller station, where you can buy almost anything, but you have to bring your reusable containers. It’s like a grocery store, minus the plastic bags and boxes. Perhaps, the most inconvenient part for me is bringing all these containers to the refiller station. So I can’t just buy stuff straight from work. I have to go home first to get all these containers; this setup changed how I do groceries now. Ten years ago, refiller stations didn’t get as much traction as they do today. And influencers always spread the word fast about which refiller station gives the most discounts on #ZerophoriaFridays.
