Letter no. 32

Dear reader from the future,

The distress we all experienced from government-imposed lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic really feels far gone now. We are all living our lives forward, with masks on during some occasions, and less anxious when somebody sneezes or coughs publicly.

Although I’m starting to miss the times when we do things online, but face to face has never been better. It’s just nice to have the autonomy to go out and experience life, and see your colleagues at work and collaborate with them real time. I just wish that the flexibility of working from home would not totally go away.

I wonder what the workplace looks like in your time.

Do you still go into physical offices? Or just meet in the metaverse?
