Letter no. 28

Inspired by this future scenario—face searching.

Dear reader from the future,

I don’t know what to feel about having my face searched online, like how we search for names or topics over the internet today.

Yes, I post stuff online, like my profile on different social media accounts, which includes personal details and various media that prove my identity. Of course, you can count this blog post too! But the reason why all these data are online is that I want to be seen like everyone else.

You might say, being face searched isn’t so bad. Maybe it isn’t. But for now, I still don’t feel comfortable about it. I still cherish my anonymity outside of those I shared online.

Your letter writer from the past,
Jessa
