Listening to a video instruction made for professionals (supposed to be busy people), the recurring advice was this:
If you don’t have the time, just pick one.
And perhaps, we’ve forgotten the magic of learning even one new thing and the power of saying yes to only one thing in the face of so many things you can say yes to.
Because it’s easy to overestimate what we can do, especially when we plan ahead for our future selves. Don’t we all get the same 24 hours as everybody else?
Sure, it wouldn’t hurt to say no to some things.
If you’re smart enough, just pick one.
