Reflections on becoming

I finished reading the Bible in one year (again)!

in

Have you read the whole Bible in one year?

If you still haven’t, here’s how to read the whole Bible in one year.

And for the fourth time, I finished reading the whole Bible again!

These are the versions I have read so far (in order):

  1. New International Version (NIV)
  2. New Living Translation (NLT)
  3. New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB)
  4. Amplified Bible (AMP)

So when did I start to build the habit?

It started when I belonged to a Jesus-centered church that really put emphasis on the importance of reading the Word of the Lord. Every year, this Bible-believing community encourages the congregation to do their daily devotions from Genesis to Revelation whole year round.

I learned that the Bible is supposed to be read again and again for the rest of our lives. And that the more we do, the more we see that the whole Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus.

It’s amazing how the Word of the Lord comes to life and remains relevant in all situation you go through.

So, should you start to read your Bible this year, from cover to cover?

Yes, you should! So that you will be able to stand firm on the rock during the hard times.

Let’s keep growing in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
