Everyday Stories, Lived

Just because you can…

in

… doesn’t mean you should.

You have to admit that it’s easy to tell your today selves that your future selves can do everything you want to accomplish. Why? Because you don’t often consider your future selves to be the same person you are now.

So as you begin the year with so many possibilities, make sure that you commit to things that do not overestimate what you can do. Most times, you have to be practical.

As organization leadership tells us, keep it simple.

And simple doesn’t mean mediocre.

Keeping it simple shows that you know what you want to achieve.

From a previous blog post I wrote, which you can access here, I emphasized some decision points you must make to move forward in life with clarity. They are as follows:

  1. Be clear of what’s ahead of you.
  2. Be connected to your future.
  3. Be intentional about what you want to become.
  4. Understand that growth is a requirement to move forward in life.
  5. Be clear about where you must put your confidence on, and that is the Name of Jesus.

As you begin another year, I hope that you move forward in life with clarity.

Here’s how to start your year right.
