Yes, I just talked about time yesterday and you can check my rant here.
And these days, it’s normal for us to throw around the term “efficient” when saving time from time-consuming activities.
Say, we are getting efficient with our laundry.
When we couldn’t afford a washing machine (yet), we used to wash all of our clothes by hand. And it takes a tremendous amount of time and energy. But with the magic of a washing machine, we can now wash so many clothes while having the liberty of spending that time saved into something else (while the washing machine is doing its magic).
But what are you going to do with that time saved?
I can recall my mother telling us that she is highly productive, especially when doing laundry.
Why?
Because she can do other chores like cooking, planting (repotting), and cleaning in and out of the house while the washing machine is still turning and turning and turning.
How about you? What are you doing with all the time you have saved?
And if we really made our lives more efficient by saving time, why do we feel like there are always so many things that need to be done?
Where has all our saved time gone?
