Look at that dog. He sees exactly what he wants. No second-guessing. No wondering if he deserves it. Just…wanting.
And if you want it so much, that you can’t take another day not having it or attaining it, then what are you gonna do about it?
If the wanting remains an idea, a dream, without you really wanting it that much that you can’t stop thinking about it, then there’s not enough force to push you to act and move out of the inertia.
Wanting without force is just wishing.
Wanting in action is work—you work towards what you want.
You calculate the cost.
You assess your reality and work on what you can control.
And maybe, the question isn’t about willpower at all.
Maybe you’re not doing anything because you really don’t know what you want?
