We booked a pet transport service to help us bring Novo from Manila to Davao. It took 17 days for Novo to finally arrive home due to various reasons, including delays in airline booking confirmation, expiration of pet transport documents, and offloading.
The whole ordeal must have stressed him out, since he lost weight. But what changed Novo after everything he went through was his desire to always be around you, even when you just left for the shower.
You’ll always hear him screaming and calling for your attention when he thinks you are nowhere to be found.
So for now, he’ll never let me leave his sight, except during his daytime naps, where he’s comfortable being alone as long as he is sleeping on our bed.
I made sure to document our first get-together after almost three weeks apart so that I could capture our joy and Novo’s delight. He’s such a charmer that he instantly became a crowd favorite at home, captivating even our family members who are afraid of cats.
And yes, he’s back to being our cat boss, making sure we follow our daily routine of waking up at six in the morning.
