Everyday Stories, Lived

Letter no. 52

in

Dear reader from the future,

I just want to tell you about what my typical week is like so that you (or I) can have something to look back on (and probably compare with) a decade from now.

When my husband and I run some errands, we bring our cat along. Novo has been a cute travel companion, making the mundane feel like an adventure.

And since my husband got Hogwarts Legacy for free last Christmas, I always get excited to find time within the week to play it because it brings back my childhood memories of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which my sister and I used to play on my aunt’s computer in the 2000s. It got my sister and me hooked, and it still does now. We were amazed by how beautiful the graphics in Hogwarts Legacy are, just as we were enamored of its predecessor (even though it looks so archaic now).

Thanks to my sister, who captured me playing Hogwarts Legacy, for posterity.

I also do typical household chores like washing dishes, vacuuming, and doing laundry. And of course, I make time to read to keep my mind active, and to blog. I know I have said this before, but I’d still like to write about it now: how long can I keep writing here? But since I’m still here five years after starting this blog, I think I can keep showing up.

While the ordinary days go on and on forever, many things could really happen within 10 years, as the 2016 nostalgia online has shown.

Your letter writer from the past,
Jessa
