Reflections on becoming

When you’ve been prepared for something bigger

In 2020, I explored how to produce podcast episodes and went through the learning phase of juggling content creation with pre- and post-production. My tasks include: topic ideation, writing the material, recording, audio editing, and promotion. The pandemic really squeezed the creatives out of us, and it felt that at that moment, I really wanted to go through it, not because I had to, but because I wanted to put out my work out there for others to find.

That phase in my life was an accumulation of my training on public speaking, writing, content creation, and just reaching out to people through my art.

While I became a part of the Word at Work radio program as a host in 2020, it was in February 2023 that I was given the opportunity to become the Word at Work program producer. I could have said no because it seemed like a task too great to start building a team—much less convince a group of people to a shared vision. But a still, small voice gave me peace, convincing me that saying yes to the task doesn’t mean I must go through it and figure all the hows alone. Instead, it would be a task I’ll be working on with the Lord by my side.

I’m glad I said yes two years ago, even when I was clueless about the specifics. There’s really something when we trust God about the things He entrusted us to work on.

Fast forward to 2025, what started as a no-team became a team of 23 (still growing). While I tried doing everything in 2020 to produce my podcast, now I am working with various people at Word at Work for topic ideation, writing the material, recording, audio editing, and promotion. A big task is indeed manageable when working with equally dedicated people animated by the Spirit of Unity flowing from our Lord Jesus.

God knows how much I needed godly friends and God has given me friends who have turned into families through Word at Work. ❤️

What I really like about working with fellow believers of Jesus is that everyone has the heart to contribute and become a problem solver, believing that we are working for the Lord and not for human masters (Colossians 3:23-24). What’s even amazing is that we act in unity without trying to fabricate it—the unity we experience flows naturally.

That’s enough backstory, I guess?

All I really want to say is that we have finally updated our 2025 episodes on Spotify! 🎉 So, if you have missed us on our online radio, you can now listen to us on demand whether you are in transit, on your office break, or spending your weekend under the blue skies.
