Reflections on becoming

Decisions and ripple effects

in

We’re constantly confronted with decisions that could become too overwhelming if we lose focus on what we want to achieve in life. Often, I lose track of my mission and vision, too, making it easy to do things that only consume time and nothing more, such as scrolling the never-ending social media feeds.

When making a decision now that doesn’t help you become what you really want to contribute to the world, you feel like being bored and left alone to your thoughts is unthinkable and that you’d rather pacify yourself with more screen time. You’d instead fill your mind with noise rather than hear yourself think.

But once you get back to your senses, perusing about all the choices you’ve made and how they’ve affected a thing or two in your daily routines, you’d get a hint of how small decisions eventually pile up. The daily routines you never think deeply about eventually become a habit, and some don’t even help build up relationships at all.
