(Automatically) deleting emails

in

When was the last time you deleted an email right after you received it? When was the last time your email went straight to the trash without you reading it?

I cannot remember when exactly this habit began. Still, I’ve been starting to observe that I delete the emails immediately when reaching my phone after a notification.

I feel like I am receiving way too many emails I don’t have any plans to read. Not that I intentionally subscribed to receive emails from all the applications I signed in. But apparently, the default setting you get is to receive their marketing emails.

With the realization dawning on me, here’s what I did next.

I unsubscribed from those emails, one by one.

Maybe, you are facing the same struggle I did, being swept by the flood of emails. You can follow my example, but it’s still your call.

Will you be missing out on a lot?

Maybe yes, maybe not.

But you need not worry about missing out because, through the internet, all the world’s information is just a click away.

So if you will unsubscribe from the emails you will never ever read, you are merely giving yourself freedom from the stress of information inundation.
