Reflections on becoming

First, identify the problem

in

Living in an area with substandard and demoralizing housing, because living there was what I could only afford at the time, made me realize how our environment affects our way of life and perception of life. And with a meager income, I learned how to dance with lack and need.

In times of distress, it’s wise to acknowledge that you are in it and going through it. Like they say, the solutions come after you’ve identified the problem.

And it’s always a choice to surround yourself with people who lift you up and keep you from drowning in anxiety and a community that points you to a future hope — that life doesn’t end in the frustration in which you wallow (unless you want it to).
