When we think that we are okay with being alone, about how self-sufficient we are, we think about all the ways we could be with another soul.
It does not mean we are incapable of fending ourselves. But having someone around who knows us deeper than acquaintances who only know us superficially. Our desire and yearning to be known become so powerful at times that it overwhelms us, making us lonely and alone.
We all just want to be known.
