To some of us who tried to fit in like everybody else, doing our nails and still trying to do house chores, we know that we can only do one way or the other. Else, we risk ruining our nail polishes and feel bad about doing the work we ought to do.
Unless you paint your nails with the kind that doesn’t get ruined as quick as the regular kind.
But those who work with their hands (perhaps blue collared jobs) probably don’t paint them as much as those who don’t have to put their hands on the dirt.
I used to spend my days tending the goats and chickens, even our lovely furball cats and dogs. And there’s no point in coloring my nails because the dirt will ruin them. And yes, our hard-headed goats too.
However, today is a special day. I have to color them, but they’re already ruined just a few minutes in. Because they’re the regular kind, and I get over things so much when the nail polish is still wet. Maybe I’m not cut for this kind of thing.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation that made you think that you’re not meant for that kind of thing?
