I’ve been told at a young age how trust, when broken, becomes difficult to repair.
How? Because once you break someone’s trust, your subsequent courses of action may be held with suspicion.
Are your motives true? Or are you just putting up a show? Are you telling the truth?
And no one wants to become the fool and the joke.
So, to fix a broken trust, you have to come clean, with humility, that you are willing to make things right. And by wanting to make things right, you also have to gain back people’s trust by building a record that you can be trusted.
Just note that the very people you broke trust with may put up a wall against you. But only until when they will see that you’ve changed.
