



I can’t remember how it began, but this rooster became a regular visitor, especially during mealtimes. He makes his presence known by walking around the dining area, turning his head enough to make eye contact.
He looked funny and cute, bobbing his head left and right, making sure we understood he meant business.
He only goes back to his brood after we give him some cooked rice and after he’s been left alone for a while. He’ll be back for the next mealtime, even during dinners if the sun is still up.
And sometimes, we start to wonder about his whereabouts when he arrives late—probably did not hear the spoons and forks clanking on our plates.
I can’t help but admire his consistency.
