I can only do so much with the hours I have in a day.
What a miserable life it would be to try to lift all the burden of the world upon your shoulders. But hey, I knew someone who already did! And His Name is Jesus.
And now those who trust in His Name can live in peace even when we still live in this broken world—like living in a patch of holy space.
In a world divided by the systems that promised to connect it, an experiential knowledge of Jesus keeps two people from killing each other even when their world imposes tribalism upon them. They no longer live in an “Us vs. Them” narrative. Instead, they live together as brothers and sisters in Christ, under the banner of His love.
Ephesians 2:14-16 AMPC
For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us, By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace. And [He designed] to reconcile to God both [Jew and Gentile, united] in a single body by means of His cross, thereby killing the mutual enmity and bringing the feud to an end.
