Understanding the basics of international relations from my IR friends

in

In college, I always thought about what my career would be like if I enrolled in international relations (IR) fields. It was a dream I knew I wouldn’t be able to have because I needed to take a STEM course for my scholarship.

But a decade later, I had two friends who graduated with degrees in Diplomacy/Diplomatic affairs, and spending time with them elevated my awareness of international relations.

So, giving them a platform to share what they know with laypeople like me was such a fun experience. Nitch and Franz (a real-life couple) wore their research robes and IR hats as they wrote and hosted an awesome three-part series about international relations and how we should respond to the changing times as Christian working professionals.

Check out the three-part series below, and I hope you will learn as much as I did.

Part 1. Foundational theories of International Relations and an overall Christian response to world events

Part 2. Four major international issues (food security and economic crises, health crises, cancel culture and boycotting, and wars and armed conflict) and the biblical response to these issues

Part 3. How the World defines/facilitates peace and the character of Jesus both as Prince of Peace and King of Kings in the Millenial Reign
