Reflections on becoming

Divided attention

in

People want you to be involved in so many things at one time. And that could get overwhelming. So if you are the kind of person who succumbs to pressure quickly, learn to say no more often.

I think saying no more often is not entirely wrong. If you can identify what matters for you, you will be able to focus and be more productive. Because it is counterproductive to enter all open doors at once. Understand that you can only be in one place at a time.

Divided attention hampers you in doing more, and it also limits you to become your best.

So if you think there are things you should stop doing, then stop them. Do not overcommit.

Remember that finishing is always better than starting.

I originally wrote this in my previous blog, which you can check out here.
