Somewhere, we read that “life is a constant change.”
You might even have heard it in a song and are now trying to tune it out from your brain because you can’t stop singing the lyrics.
But when people commit a mistake, we often find ourselves unable to stop ourselves from crucifying them for that mistake, not giving them any room to improve.
Or couldn’t we at least give them a chance to become better?
We see ourselves as the only ones who deserve a second chance, and we hold others to a different standard than we do ourselves.
When it involves other people, we might make a side-eye about them changing into better people. We can’t just wrap our heads around it; it always feels impossible.
That’s why some people find it hard to forgive others.
Quick to criticize, slow to forgive.
