While reading Slow Productivity: The Lost Art of Accomplishment Without Burnout, published in March 2024, Cal Newport briefly mentioned the center framing of the movie Mad Max: Fury Road. I first watched it on cable TV (on repeat), and I’ve always wondered how I could focus on following the characters amidst its chaotic scenes.
Now that I’ve learned that having the main elements of the movie at the center of the frame kept me watching the movie from start to finish, I was deeply compelled to rewatch it.
I wanted to see the movie with this detail (center framed), which I had never had words for before, but my eyes and mind were drawn to.
While doing my desktop research about Mad Max: Fury Road, I was curious why this 2015 movie was abuzz with movie reviews and articles recently published (as recently as a week ago), only to find that a prequel would be in cinemas this month.
