The body and mind resist new things automatically. You can even feel your mind protest about turning away from the old way of doing things, which is familiar and comfortable.
In most cases, stepping into the new and unfamiliar gives you unease. Starting something new makes you feel uncomfortable. And we don’t like to feel unsettled.
We want to comfort ourselves by staying in the status quo.
“New way of doing things” is not welcome here. Go away, I don’t want you.
But growth also means getting out of your comfort zone. You may not like it at first, but once you find your rhythm again in the new beat, you will eventually enjoy dancing to the new tune.
And settle.
Until the next “new way of doing things” comes.
