Everyday Stories, Lived

Do not marry an irritable man

in

Irritable men are easily annoyed by trivial things, such as being asked, “How are you?” They easily scowl to express annoyance and displeasure, often followed by a grunt and gestures that push you away from them.

Instead, They would want to be left by themselves rather than engage in interpersonal conversations.

If you are not used to people shutting you off, being acquainted and even married to an irritable man would make your life miserable and lonely.

Their scowl is enough to deter you from keeping your heart close to them. They simply abhor interactions, especially when they don’t want to be bothered (which is most times).

Living with irritable men is like a death sentence, enough to drain your joy and pleasant demeanor.

They can’t be helped.

I don’t know why they prefer to put up a scowl when it takes more effort than to smile.

Try to furrow your eyebrows into a scowl until you can feel your forehead wrinkle and mouth purse. You may notice that it becomes easy to feel displeasure towards others and harder to speak pleasantly.

And when it becomes a habit, and you might say you are not angry, you may wonder why people don’t want to be near or get close to you.

A smile attracts people, but nobody wants to be around a scowly face.
