“We all breathe the same dirty air everywhere.”
That’s how Mr. Rene Pineda, Jr., President of the Partnership for Clean Air, began his speech during the Stakeholder’s Forum on Air Quality Monitoring.
And the call for improving the air quality also includes other sectors such as energy, following the goal of reducing GHG emissions.
What became a highlight for me during the forum was what Dr. Czar Jakiri Sarmiento said about how researchers should aim to translate their research to policies and exact actual change, improving people’s lives. Impactful research then becomes a starting point for policymakers to respond and begin to prioritize limited resources.
