Over a short period of spending time with business people, I began to realize how different they organize and plan their days compared with employed professionals like me.
Whereas we (the employees) think of 8-to-5 working hours every day as the only opportunity to make money (of course, except the freelancers who work on top of their day jobs), I’ve noticed how the business people mainly consider a more extended period (accounting for the payback period of their investment).
And it doesn’t matter for them if they exert so much effort today (equivalent to overtime hours for a regular employee) because they understand that the effort they invest would grow exponentially.
Businesspeople also wake up early, before the sun rises, making the most of every hour, which promises opportunities for growth.
Always in motion.
But when do they rest? Oh, yes! They do find rest, too. They could take some days off while their businesses make them money. And they don’t sulk when the rest days are over. They even get excited to return and make money because the motion drives them alive.
Perhaps, when we emulate how they treat each and every day, say waking up early to make the most of sunlight hours to do work and be productive (even when as an employee), we’d feel more free and in control of our lives.
I hope we get to live our Miracle Mornings.
