Surprisingly, showing up with your work and sharing it with your immediate community could become an inspiration for those who were glad you did. But they would only realize it once you show up.
I found this at work at one of our workplace events when a participant told us how he was grateful for a research paper we wrote, which helped shape the direction of their research.
Who knows?
If we decided not to present that research work at a conference, get published, and be publicized online, our work would have never found its way to him and his colleagues.
This reminds me of my blog, about how starting it never seemed to make any impact until people began to thank me for writing things that resonated with them. That’s when I realized the importance of showing up.
Because you’ll never realize the value of your work if it remains an idea. It will only become an inspiration when you decide to share with your world and be open to the fact that not everyone would like your work. But some would be glad you did.
