Overcoming self-imposed limitations begins with saying, “I can.”
When babies are still learning to walk, you never hear them say, “I can’t walk, might as well stop learning how to walk.”
Instead, they take steps to make it happen, such as standing up and putting one foot in front of the other. They may fall many times, but that’s okay. Because the point is to do the practice again and again until they get better at standing up and putting one foot in front of the other until they’re finally able to take so many steps that the action already resembles walking.
Just because we’re grown up doesn’t mean we have to forget what it’s like to never walk until we can (because we never limited ourselves from learning).
Once we acknowledge that it’s possible to be better at many things in life, nothing becomes impossible to achieve!
Following Jesus taught me a mindset that if we put our trust in the Lord and obey His ways, nothing is too hard in this life.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB1995
5Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
