In youth, some of us don’t go out as much as we could and prefer to stay indoors, binge-watch movies and play computer games. Because finishing another episode and leveling up in games feel like we’ve accomplished a lot, although the sense of accomplishment is empty and even fleeting.
Aging comes with good things, such as liberty and ability, but it also means some bodily functions begin to deteriorate.
If we choose not to maximize our strength in our youth, we may miss the chance to experience the strength we can only find in our younger years. And when we’re old, we can only dream about what it feels like to explore the world in vigor.
