How to bore listeners during your presentation?
Put in words in your slide deck and lots of it.
And while you are speaking to the audience, talk as if they are as familiar with the text as you are. And that they could follow through with every idea you’re so excited to share with them.
I realized that no matter how excited the speaker is when presentations are overpopulated with words, it’s challenging to follow through.
But someone could deeply engage the crowd by telling stories instead, putting images and illustrations in the presentation while taking advantage of the white spaces to allow the listener’s imagination to roam.
