It’s true that when you don’t have a plan, somebody does it for you.
Because we all have ideas. But these ideas don’t necessarily reflect what the other person values. And if that person’s resolve is weak, he might easily be swayed by what’s on the table. What a joy if it aligns with his values. If not, he could quickly point fingers at you for leading him to a miserable path.
While many people can sway us with everything we should do in life, what keeps me sane is going back to what’s tested and true. And learning from people who may have lived thousands of generations before me but were able to stand firm throughout their lives ensures and encourages me that I can do it too. Not by my own strength, no.
