Two years ago, we used to hear people sniffling or coughing lightly in public spaces, and perhaps most of us don’t bother at all.
Oh yeah, he’s got a cold.
Oh yeah, she’s got a cough.
And we take it lightly, as a matter of fact, and move on.
Then when I was listening to a podcast this morning, the speaker cleared his throat occasionally and sniffled a couple of times. And I was like, “And the people allowed him to speak?“
Well, the podcast was recorded in 2016, that’s why. But now, whenever we see people showing symptoms of a cold or a cough, we get suspicious.
For how long are we going to live like this?
And places like Europe and Japan are starting to consider treating COVID like the flu, even though WHO suggests otherwise.
