These words may not matter to you.
Why?
Because there are so many things to read that you wonder how you can possibly catch up. So many things to consume within the day that you can practically entertain yourself to death.
How to keep yourself from being distracted, anyway?
Can you still remember what it feels like to write down your thoughts with pen and paper?
The last time I wrote made-up stories with ink was in high school. If ever I did make some in college, I barely remember them.
Were your hands so used to typing keys instead?
And what’s the point of endless media consumption? Where most of us have something to say about so many things?
Is it just about keeping ourselves from being bored? Is it really about being connected to people we never intended to build ties with in the first place? Or is it about reaching out to the people we seek to serve?
I admit I have checked Facebook a couple of times in between writing and finishing this post. And maybe, this sounds like you too. Always having breaks between tasks you’re supposed to finish within the hour.
I hope that as we prepare for the holidays, we can choose to stop distracting ourselves and pay attention to things that edify. And I hope that you consider this blog worth keeping too.
Here’s a ☕. Cheers!
