I used to hear about Covid-19 on national TV, but with the elections coming around next year, it’s almost always what I see on the screens.
Is Covid-19 still out there? Yes, of course. But, perhaps, how the media puts the spotlight on specific issues shapes how we see our world every day.
And as a curator, the media can influence and drive our focus away from what matters at the moment.
Yes, it pays to chew the meat and throw the bones.
As I was told, not everything you see on TV is what something (really) looks like.
