Wireless power

Even if you live in developing countries like I do, you’ve probably seen or heard about wireless charging, especially with mobile devices appearing everywhere like mushrooms.

But like almost all technological advances, you may have not heard how the idea of wireless power started as a signal of change first.

A company founded in 2007 with the help of MIT researcher Marin Soljačić, WiTricity, aimed to fully commercialize room-scale wireless power by 2013. If you are interested in reading more about their story, you can check it out here.

And yes! Eight years after, you already see the idea alive in devices sold on the market.

So what does that tell us about the future? It’s something we also decide what it should become.

So if you think the future is bleak, then it will be so. Not unless you see the future as a room of opportunities. It will be so if you just learn to participate in shaping it forward.
