From a hardware store, loaded with some cement and steel bars, I told the tricycle driver how cool his tricycle was.

No, it didn’t look brand new at all. In fact, it looked dilapidated and old. But what amazed me was as a mode of public transport, he already has the ropes ready to cater to customers like me.

And then his response was like this:

This tricycle is very old. And it’s too ugly to cater to passengers. The motorcycle is a very old model, and my sidecar is no longer fashionable, but this vehicle is still good for the rugged load. So, I decided to focus on hardware customers instead.

It surely made sense the moment I started to notice how old everything was.

While we were still on the road, carefully traveling across the city, I kept pondering about his ability to shift focus and provide a new purpose for his tricycle.

And maybe, that’s what you need too. To repurpose a skill or a tool instead of giving up just because you feel it’s not working out at the moment.

Maybe, all you need to do is change your perspective, and soon enough, you’ll find a new purpose for that skill or tool. And things will get going for you again.
