When was the last time you saw one? And when you see one, what do you think is it for?
For the most part, people make an effort to spend a lot to blast off explosive powders to make a statement. One that says, “This moment deserves some fireworks,” and the other that says, “I can afford to do this.”
Most of the time, these reasons converge.
And there have been instances that I think my achievements deserve some fireworks.
You know, hoping for a grand celebration of accomplishing little things such as surviving daily blogging for six months now and producing a bi-monthly podcast on top of that.
But here’s the thing. I can’t afford to do it.
And maybe you are in the same situation where you hope someone somewhere rejoices with you in whatever milestone you successfully achieved. Yet, you know deep down that it doesn’t work that way.
However, you need to show up every day, doing the work you need to do for the people you seek to serve.
So, here’s my take on it.
You are my fireworks. Why? Because every time you read this blog or listen to my podcast, and at the same time, share them with other people, you become the statement. One that sends a signal to other people that “this is worth my attention and it could be worthy of yours too.”
So if you have been here for some time, thank you so much for your attention. And I hope that we will bring this up to scale. Even though the pie is not getting any bigger, at least we’ll be able to reach out to the people we seek to help.
I appreciate the work you do.
