At one time or another, you’ve been fascinated by bubbles. Here now and poof! Gone. So you make them again and again and again. It’s as if your mind is numb from doing anything else but making bubbles until you are out of breath. Then you pause and do it one more time (again).
The last time you watched a series of movies in one sitting (or did the endless scroll of your social media), the numbing was there too. Before you realize it, and for the nth episode, it’s already 3 AM. “I (guess) I need some sleep.” Nah, too late for that, you might say, so you keep on numbing yourself down, making yourself a slave of the magic box (sometimes, you call it a TV, a smartphone).
You might have never thought about it, but you become the bubble yourself who wasted so many hours numbing down on endless movie series, until poof! Most of your life is now gone to the capitalists who made money of your attention.
