When you are still starting at work, you are open to anything; open to people, ideas and manners, and work ethics. But then, as time wears on and you begin to know more about them, their peculiarities, and shortcomings, you start to reassess your values against theirs.
And when you discover a mismatch, you begin to feel disconnected from the point where you started.
Then you move on.
But moving on shouldn’t mean burning bridges. It doesn’t mean that you forget where you began.
Moving on should mean moving forward or becoming better.
And sometimes, it means searching for new career paths.
